CNY comes. gambling too. playing in the corridor cos i've been forbidden to enter anyone's rm thanks to CONJUNCTIVITIS. playing on the brown paper angie kopped frm ikea. writing down our debts on the paper *how convenient* and for angie, the brown paper also serves as the guide as to which suit is bigger or whether shun is bigger than fullhouse. hahaha.
a more systematic and neater way of recording our debts. I/C DOI. haha how apt.
and this is how Angie looks like after 4.5 hrs of gambling and winning a grand total of 10 cents.
Yiyu is hungry. She doesn't want to let u all see her yao gui face. hahaha.

SECC spring cleaning!
SECC came around asking for people to allow them to spring clean their rooms -- spring clean = clean fan, floor and windows. For $5. Ok la. CNY coming must accumulate good karma.
the people cleaning my rm.
SECC ppl were initially ver happy to get songyun as a customer.
then they were very sad cos they realised her rm requires a lot of work.
Keith shows the amount of dust + hair + good-knows-what accumulated on the ends of the broom (with a disgusted face to boot).
Fish pays them another $5 to get them to clean that corner of Songyun's rm.
Songyun is now very happy that her rm is clean. For now.

DTC and friends CNY steamboat reunion dinner!
getting ready for the feast...
wah. so much food. and prawns were on offer at sheng song! only $6.50 per kg! we bought half kg. but could see aunties buying like bags and bags of prawns!
abalone + chicken soup.
we ran out of bowls so robin who came late had to use a cup. hahaha.
so full...just because of u...so full...
bei1 pan2 lang2 ji2.
on an ending note, I was trying to take fish with her personal hotpot. but she decides to siam out of the picture. but not far enough.
CHINATOWNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.
we finally tried the yong tao hu stall that always has a freaking long queue.
we arrived there at 12:30. and got stunned.
NO QUEUE!!!
we ran up to the uncle.. "uncle wo yao liang wan!"
uncle: "hai mei you kai la. yi dian."
*sian*
and there were already a few people queuing for it..
like 3 or 4 ppl. so what did we do?
we did the same. sat down behind the aunties sitting down queuing in front of the stall.and waited.
and waited.
while the uncle takes his time preparing.
30 minutes more.
but angie waits patiently and happily.
while yiyu ponders over what to do with her 2 CNY dresses that are almost identical.
uncle fasterrrrr....
we're open for business!!!
YEAH!! stand up and await our turn! (and the smiling auntie beside has been talking to us for the past 20 minutes.)
FINALLY. YUM. perfect fortification for our expensive shopping expedition later @ Bugis. muahaha.

we had a dtc outing to the handball semis yday! weewooweet! super give u all face can. since when have u seen jilyn and huiyu taking a bus down from NUS to TP to watch an IHG game. hurhur. ok lah oklah. u all want to be siao on.
ANYWAY. we were talking on the bus journey there and we ended up talking about wanting to eat bah cho mee and chicken wings and stingray. so.. before the game started, we went to 85 ba sha! :)
but it was like erm 750sth then got surcharge. so we being the typical cheapo aunties, we decided to walk until it was 8. ahah. and we met the KOOOLEST taxi uncle can.
dtc: uncle, qu 85 ba sha.
uncle: 85 so near. walk lah. walk then will be healthyyy.
dtc: but we walk very far alreadyyy.
uncle: cannot be lazyyy.
dtc: we walk until very heatyyyyy
uncle: ok i on the aircon so it will be coolyyy.
uncle: next time walk then more healthyyy
dtc: but we wan to take taxiii.. let u earn moneyyyy

No. 51! haha. Nic, study hard.-jilyn
Wah this was damn cool la!!! Thanks to my friend who managed to get us 4 tickets to the finals..
Fish forgot it was her ah ma's birthday, so CT went in her stead.
First we ALL had chee cheong fun at Old Airport Road hawker centre. YUM. Angie and CT were late. Therefore Songyun and I smelt like the hawker centre after having sat there for like 2 hrs in total.
Waiting in queue to enter the indoor stadium. Angie and CT checking out the car they wanna share.
Flaw-minimising. Angie covering her pimple, Songyun covering her eyebags, and me standing behind to make my head appear a normal size *albeit still VERY round*.
we are all superstars!!!
We saw Paul 2hill and Jasmine Tye! they were seated really near us.
And of course we had to make fun of his hair.

Angie loves her lightstick left over from the JJ concert last year.
This woman seated in front of us was looking very intently at her colour chart for the free hairdye we got.
*guilty look*Because when we arrived first, we decided we didnt like the colour of the dye given to us. and switched our goodie bags instead. Milk Tea Beige as a hair colour was just disgusting la ok...
Songyun is very happily playing with the clappers than CT kopped from another section of seats. Our section didn't get those clappers. So CT played a solo game of *fastest fingers first*! Arriving early does have its perks...

Daren won. Deep down inside, although I knew that Daren was a better performer, I was rooting for Diya. The instance before they announced the winner, I honestly felt that Diya would win. (blind loyalty?) Angie and SY were both rooting for Daren, and that not-as-short one next to me was screaming her head off when this picture flashed on the screen. BOO. CT was gorging himself on sour grapes the whole night, after having wasted $12 on 20 calls to Diya. According to my friend who helped us get the tickets, Daren won by quite a large margin.. oh well..And we still have ringing ears from the too-loud acoustics at the indoor stadium. Angie still holds a grudge against Cao Ge for not having sung Superwoman, and instead, that horrible 3-7-21 song. Songyun still hasn't done her General Bio assignment due tmr. and CT is probably still complaining that the competition is kelong. Me? Im still slapping myself for not having remembered to try and snap a shot of Derrick (yea Hoh Weijian from the First Superstar competition) when I walked past the VIP lounge.
